After 15 years of building landscapes as a contractor and 20 years of making ceramic sculpture I decided to bring the two professions together to make functional, sculptural ceramics that could live outdoors year round. Every piece we make at Dry Dock Studio is one of a kind, hand-built without molds or forms, intentionally reflecting the process of making and embracing the beauty of imperfection inherent in the process. All our work is fabricated and fired at our facilities outside of Chatham NY. We have 6 kilns: four gas kilns and two electric. Most of our work is fired in our 73 cubic foot Bailey kiln.

As you’ll see on the website we have several different options for buying pots, we have our Studio Line, which are a series of forms in a selection of sizes, this our most affordable line of pottery. We also have our immediately available one-of-a-kind section, these are pieces which we have in shop and ready to ship. If you are interested in the pots we have available don’t hesitate to get in touch, we usually have more than are shown on the site and would be happy to send images of the pieces. Lastly we do much of our work through commission with designers.  We are always interested in discussing one of a kind projects with clients.
